- As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.

- God is not man, that he should lie,
or a son of man, that he should change his mind.
Has he said, and will he not do it?
Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it? - These things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.
- Can a man hide himself in secret places so that I cannot see him? declares the Lord.
Do I not fill heaven and earth? declares the Lord. - So I will show my greatness and my holiness and make myself known in the eyes of many nations. Then they will know that I am the Lord.
- So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them.
