God (3/4)

  • And the Lord will be king over all the earth. On that day there will be one Lord—his name alone will be worshiped.
  • What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?
  • And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
  • The name of the Lord is a strong fortress;
the godly run to him and are safe.
  • You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.
  • Unless the Lord builds a house,
the work of the builders is wasted.
Unless the Lord protects a city,
guarding it with sentries will do no good.
  • Yes, God will bless us,
and people all over the world will fear him.
  • A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
  • All honor and glory to God forever and ever! He is the eternal King, the unseen one who never dies; he alone is God. Amen.
  • Oh, how great are God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge! How impossible it is for us to understand his decisions and his ways!
  • Jesus told them, “This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent.”
  • But even as he spoke, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy. Listen to him.”
  • What joy for the nation whose God is the Lord,
whose people he has chosen as his inheritance.
  • In this way, I will show my greatness and holiness, and I will make myself known to all the nations of the world. Then they will know that I am the Lord.
  • But Lord, you remain the same forever!
Your throne continues from generation to generation.
  • I have been the Lord your God
ever since I brought you out of Egypt.
You must acknowledge no God but me,
for there is no other savior.
  • Those who obey God’s commandments remain in fellowship with him, and he with them. And we know he lives in us because the Spirit he gave us lives in us.
  • As the deer longs for streams of water,
so I long for you, O God.
  • Who has done such mighty deeds,
summoning each new generation from the beginning of time?
It is I, the Lord, the First and the Last.
    I alone am he.
  • Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other.
  • For who is God except the Lord?
Who but our God is a solid rock?
  • May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
  • God is not a man, so he does not lie.
He is not human, so he does not change his mind.
Has he ever spoken and failed to act?
Has he ever promised and not carried it through?
  • Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry,
but those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing.
  • Listen, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength.

“Can anyone hide from me in a secret place?
Am I not everywhere in all the heavens and earth?”
says the Lord.
