Happy are those who fear the Lord,

- You must neither add anything to what I command you nor take away anything from it, but keep the commandments of the Lord your God with which I am charging you.
- Hear, O Israel: The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.
- If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love.

they are the joy of my heart. - You who want to be justified by the law have cut yourselves off from Christ; you have fallen away from grace.
- For this is the message you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
- The way of the Lord is a stronghold for the upright,
but destruction for evildoers. - I will put my spirit within you, and make you follow my statutes and be careful to observe my ordinances.
- I will never forget your precepts,
for by them you have given me life. - In the path of your judgments,
O Lord, we wait for you;
your name and your renown
are the soul's desire. - I delight in the way of your decrees
as much as in all riches. - We have sinned and done wrong, acted wickedly and rebelled, turning aside from your commandments and ordinances.
