- Commit thy way unto the Lord;
trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light,
and thy judgment as the noonday. - Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
- Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
- He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul:
he that keepeth understanding shall find good. - For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
- Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
- Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Holding forth the word of life.
- This is the day which the Lord hath made;
we will rejoice and be glad in it. - Behold, God is mine helper:
the Lord is with them that uphold my soul. - He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.
- For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
- The heart is deceitful above all things,
and desperately wicked: who can know it?
I the Lord search the heart,
I try the reins,
even to give every man according to his ways,
and according to the fruit of his doings. - My son, forget not my law;
but let thine heart keep my commandments:
For length of days, and long life,
and peace, shall they add to thee. - He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.
- All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.
- For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
- In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
- Ponder the path of thy feet,
and let all thy ways be established. - Because thy lovingkindness is better than life,
my lips shall praise thee.
Thus will I bless thee while I live:
I will lift up my hands in thy name. - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
- Thou wilt shew me the path of life:
in thy presence is fulness of joy;
at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. - If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
- Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
- Hope deferred maketh the heart sick:
but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life. - Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him.
