- Hope deferred maketh the heart sick:
but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life. - I will never forget thy precepts:

Thus will I bless thee while I live:
I will lift up my hands in thy name. - But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.
- For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
- Thou wilt shew me the path of life:
in thy presence is fulness of joy;
at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. - The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
- For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
- If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
- Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
- There is a way which seemeth right unto a man,
but the end thereof are the ways of death. - Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
- He that walketh uprightly walketh surely:
but he that perverteth his ways shall be known. - Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
- Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
- Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them.
- What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
- For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
- For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
- But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
- I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
- Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.
- Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings;
and the years of thy life shall be many. - But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
- Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
