Chinese (traditional)- For his anger is but for a moment,
and his favor is for a lifetime.
Weeping may tarry for the night,
but joy comes with the morning. - By day the Lord commands his steadfast love,
and at night his song is with me,
a prayer to the God of my life. - Because your steadfast love is better than life,
my lips will praise you.
So I will bless you as long as I live;
in your name I will lift up my hands. - You shall not hate your brother in your heart, but you shall reason frankly with your neighbor, lest you incur sin because of him. You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against the sons of your own people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord.
- For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love.
- If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.
- But as for you, O man of God, flee these things. Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness.
- And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
- For this is the message that you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
- When I thought, “My foot slips,”
your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up. - Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
- Let brotherly love continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
- “For the mountains may depart
and the hills be removed,
but my steadfast love shall not depart from you,
and my covenant of peace shall not be removed,”
says the Lord, who has compassion on you. - Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.
- And he answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.”
- Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
- For your steadfast love is great to the heavens,
your faithfulness to the clouds. - If you love me, you will keep my commandments.
- No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
- A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.
- For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving,
abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. - And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
- Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.
- For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
- In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him.
And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts,
he is the King of glory! Selah Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?Next verse! With image
