- The Lord is merciful and gracious,
slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. - By day the Lord commands his steadfast love,
and at night his song is with me,
a prayer to the God of my life. - Because your steadfast love is better than life,
my lips will praise you.
So I will bless you as long as I live;
in your name I will lift up my hands. - You shall not hate your brother in your heart, but you shall reason frankly with your neighbor, lest you incur sin because of him. You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against the sons of your own people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord.

- For your steadfast love is great to the heavens,
your faithfulness to the clouds. - Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

- If you love me, you will keep my commandments.
- A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.
- And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
- For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving,
abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. - In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him.
- For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
- By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.
