- For the love of Christ urges us forward, once we conclude that one has died for all, and therefore all have died. And he died for all, so that those who live might no longer live for themselves, but for him who for their sakes died and was raised to life.
- If you keep my commandments,
you will remain in my love,
just as I have kept my Father’s commandments
and remain in his love. - You shall not kill. You shall not commit adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not bear false witness. Honor your father and your mother. Love your neighbor as yourself.
- Rend your hearts and not your garments,
and turn back to the Lord, your God.
For he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, rich in kindness,
and always prepared to relent from punishing. - Not to us, O Lord, not to us,
but to your name give glory
because of your kindness and faithfulness. - Since in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor lack of circumcision is worth anything. All that matters is faith expressing itself through love.
- Alleluia.
Blessed is the man who fears the Lord,
who greatly delights in his precepts. - It was not their own swords that won them the land,
nor did their own arms make them victorious;
rather, it was your right hand and your arm
and the light of your face,
because you loved them. - And ‘to love him with all your heart, and with all your understanding, and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself,’ is worth more than any burnt offerings and sacrifices.
- Turn away from youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, together with those who call on the Lord with a pure heart.
- And so does kindness, O Lord.
You reward each person
in accordance with his deeds.
A wise son brings joy to his father,
but a foolish son gives grief to his mother. Thus there are three things that endure: faith, hope, and love,
and the greatest of these is love.Next verse! With image
