Chinese (traditional)- And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.
- Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them.
- My child, don’t reject the Lord’s discipline,
and don’t be upset when he corrects you.
For the Lord corrects those he loves,
just as a father corrects a child in whom he delights. - I correct and discipline everyone I love. So be diligent and turn from your indifference.
- But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!)
- We know what real love is because Jesus gave up his life for us. So we also ought to give up our lives for our brothers and sisters.
- He loves whatever is just and good;
the unfailing love of the Lord fills the earth. - Dear brothers and sisters, I close my letter with these last words: Be joyful. Grow to maturity. Encourage each other. Live in harmony and peace. Then the God of love and peace will be with you.
- For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.
- For the commandments say, “You must not commit adultery. You must not murder. You must not steal. You must not covet.” These—and other such commandments—are summed up in this one commandment: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
- I want them to be encouraged and knit together by strong ties of love. I want them to have complete confidence that they understand God’s mysterious plan, which is Christ himself.
- A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
- Jesus replied, “All who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them.”
- May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
- The one thing I ask of the Lord—
the thing I seek most—
is to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
delighting in the Lord’s perfections
and meditating in his Temple. - If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion—how can God’s love be in that person?
- I have revealed you to them, and I will continue to do so. Then your love for me will be in them, and I will be in them.
- And he has given us this command: Those who love God must also love their fellow believers.
- Listen, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength.
- But you, dear friends, must build each other up in your most holy faith, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit, and await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will bring you eternal life. In this way, you will keep yourselves safe in God’s love.
- The Lord is like a father to his children,
tender and compassionate to those who fear him. - Let your favor shine on your servant.
In your unfailing love, rescue me. - For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
- Dear brothers and sisters, we can’t help but thank God for you, because your faith is flourishing and your love for one another is growing.
- Lord, don’t hold back your tender mercies from me.
Let your unfailing love and faithfulness always protect me.
Either way, Christ’s love controls us. Since we believe that Christ died for all, we also believe that we have all died to our old life. He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them. For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with him the believers who have died. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.Next verse! With image
