Love (2/5)

  • Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.
  • See how great a love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God! For this cause the world doesn’t know us, because it didn’t know him.
  • May the Lord make you to increase and abound in love toward one another and toward all men, even as we also do toward you.
  • He who doesn’t love doesn’t know God, for God is love.
  • He who follows after righteousness and kindness
    finds life, righteousness, and honor.
  • Hatred stirs up strife,
    but love covers all wrongs.
  • It is because of Yahweh’s loving kindnesses that we are not consumed,
    because his mercies don’t fail.
    They are new every morning.
    Great is your faithfulness.
  • For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from God’s love which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
  • ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment.
  • May mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you.
  • The second is like this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.
  • Doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.
  • Let no one seek his own, but each one his neighbor’s good.
  • I love Yahweh, because he listens to my voice,
    and my cries for mercy.
Because he has turned his ear to me,
therefore I will call on him as long as I live.
  • But speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him who is the head, Christ.
  • If I speak with the languages of men and of angels, but don’t have love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.
  • But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
  • For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.
  • Love doesn’t harm a neighbor. Love therefore is the fulfillment of the law.
  • For,
    “He who would love life
    and see good days,
let him keep his tongue from evil
and his lips from speaking deceit.
Let him turn away from evil and do good.
Let him seek peace and pursue it.”
  • Let no man despise your youth; but be an example to those who believe, in word, in your way of life, in love, in spirit, in faith, and in purity.
  • But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you.
  • Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Could oppression, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
  • In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son as the atoning sacrifice for our sins.
  • For his anger is but for a moment.
His favor is for a lifetime.
Weeping may stay for the night,
but joy comes in the morning.

Yahweh is merciful and gracious,
slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness.
