- Those who are wise understand these things;
those who are discerning know them.
For the ways of the Lord are right,
and the upright walk in them,
but transgressors stumble in them. - Good and upright is the Lord;

and teaches the humble his way. - Blessings are on the head of the righteous,
but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence. - I have taught you the way of wisdom;
I have led you in the paths of uprightness. - We ourselves are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners; yet we know that a person is justified not by the works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ. And we have come to believe in Christ Jesus, so that we might be justified by faith in Christ, and not by doing the works of the law, because no one will be justified by the works of the law.
- For “no human being will be justified in his sight” by deeds prescribed by the law, for through the law comes the knowledge of sin.
- Train children in the right way,
and when old, they will not stray. - For the fruit of the light is found in all that is good and right and true.
- The tongue of the righteous is choice silver;
the mind of the wicked is of little worth. - Happy are those whose way is blameless,
who walk in the law of the Lord. - Look at the proud!
Their spirit is not right in them,
but the righteous live by their faith. - But he knows the way that I take;
when he has tested me, I shall come out like gold.
My foot has held fast to his steps;
I have kept his way and have not turned aside. - Come to a sober and right mind, and sin no more; for some people have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.
- The hope of the righteous ends in gladness,
but the expectation of the wicked comes to nothing. - The Rock, his work is perfect,
and all his ways are just.
A faithful God, without deceit,
just and upright is he. - I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. From now on there is reserved for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
- No longer present your members to sin as instruments of wickedness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and present your members to God as instruments of righteousness.
- He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness.
- The memory of the righteous is a blessing,
but the name of the wicked will rot. - Guarding the paths of justice
and preserving the way of his faithful ones. - For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone, says the Lord God. Turn, then, and live.
- If you will listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God, and do what is right in his sight, and give heed to his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will not bring upon you any of the diseases that I brought upon the Egyptians; for I am the Lord who heals you.
- Riches do not profit in the day of wrath,
but righteousness delivers from death. - “All things are lawful,” but not all things are beneficial. “All things are lawful,” but not all things build up.
- Let your eyes look directly forward,
and your gaze be straight before you.
