- Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer.
- How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.

- So teach us to number our days,
that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. - If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
- A fool's wrath is presently known:
but a prudent man covereth shame. - Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop:
but a good word maketh it glad. - Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
- Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
- The hand of the diligent shall bear rule:
but the slothful shall be under tribute. - Before destruction the heart of man is haughty,
and before honour is humility. - Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge:
but he that hateth reproof is brutish. - There is a way which seemeth right unto a man,
but the end thereof are the ways of death. - Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
- Hope deferred maketh the heart sick:
but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life. - Lying lips are abomination to the Lord:
but they that deal truly are his delight. - As far as the east is from the west,
so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. - Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another.
- Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
- He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
- Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.
- Sing unto the Lord; for he hath done excellent things:
this is known in all the earth. - Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil:
but to the counsellors of peace is joy. - The words of a wise man's mouth are gracious;
but the lips of a fool will swallow up himself. - Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.
- For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.
- A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself;
but the simple pass on, and are punished. - For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous;
with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield. - For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
- Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord;
and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance. - Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy:
for thou renderest to every man
according to his work. - And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
- But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.
- There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?
- But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.
- No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
- Therefore also now, saith the Lord,
turn ye even to me with all your heart,
and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning. - But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
- Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
- Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips;
I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food. - And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
- Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.Next verse!With image
