Bible Verses about '17:5'
- A friend loves at all times,
and a brother is born for adversity. - He was still speaking when, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him.”
- Behold, blessed is the one whom God reproves;
therefore despise not the discipline of the Almighty. - Iron sharpens iron,
and one man sharpens another. - So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. - Fine speech is not becoming to a fool;
still less is false speech to a prince. - Grandchildren are the crown of the aged,
and the glory of children is their fathers. - Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
- And behold, a voice from heaven said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”
- And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
- From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
- Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed;
save me, and I shall be saved,
for you are my praise. - Whoever covers an offense seeks love,
but he who repeats a matter separates close friends. - I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one.
- Whoever heeds instruction is on the path to life,
but he who rejects reproof leads others astray. - And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.
- And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.
- The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.
- If anyone sins, doing any of the things that by the Lord's commandments ought not to be done, though he did not know it, then realizes his guilt, he shall bear his iniquity.
- Learn to do good;
seek justice,
correct oppression;
bring justice to the fatherless,
plead the widow's cause. - Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise;
when he closes his lips, he is deemed intelligent. - To the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
- The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. - For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
- For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do.
- For ‘In him we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are indeed his offspring.’
- If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him. For God's temple is holy, and you are that temple.
- For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison.
- Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us,
and establish the work of our hands upon us;
yes, establish the work of our hands! - And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
- You shall diligently keep the commandments of the Lord your God, and his testimonies and his statutes, which he has commanded you.
- For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.”
- I made known to them your name, and I will continue to make it known, that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.
- But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him?
- Ah, Lord God! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you.
- That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him.
- “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.” For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends.
- Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.
- But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.
- I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them.
- If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church. And if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector.
- Better is the little that the righteous has
than the abundance of many wicked.
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken,
but the Lord upholds the righteous. - They shall be mine, says the Lord of hosts, in the day when I make up my treasured possession, and I will spare them as a man spares his son who serves him.
