- And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
- You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.
- However, as it is written:
“What no eye has seen,
what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived”—
the things God has prepared for those who love him. - Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble, and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
- Gracious words are a honeycomb,
sweet to the soul and healing to the bones. - The soothing tongue is a tree of life,
but a perverse tongue crushes the spirit. - There are six days when you may work, but the seventh day is a day of sabbath rest, a day of sacred assembly. You are not to do any work; wherever you live, it is a sabbath to the Lord.

Shout, Daughter Jerusalem!
See, your king comes to you,
righteous and victorious,
lowly and riding on a donkey,
on a colt, the foal of a donkey. - Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as God’s slaves.
- Your statutes are my heritage forever;
they are the joy of my heart. - He went on: “What comes out of a person is what defiles them. For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come—sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and defile a person.”
- Where there is strife, there is pride,
but wisdom is found in those who take advice. - For the practices of the peoples are worthless;
they cut a tree out of the forest,
and a craftsman shapes it with his chisel.
They adorn it with silver and gold;
they fasten it with hammer and nails
so it will not totter.
Like a scarecrow in a cucumber field,
their idols cannot speak;
they must be carried
because they cannot walk.
Do not fear them;
they can do no harm
nor can they do any good. - Whoever walks in integrity walks securely,
but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out. - The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”
- With their mouths the godless destroy their neighbors,
but through knowledge the righteous escape. - “In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.
- Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.
- The Lord is good,
a refuge in times of trouble.
He cares for those who trust in him. - A good name is more desirable than great riches;
to be esteemed is better than silver or gold. - So that I may come to you with joy, by God’s will, and in your company be refreshed.
- Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
- For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.
- For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
- Till the Spirit is poured on us from on high,
and the desert becomes a fertile field,
and the fertile field seems like a forest.
Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
