| But there is a great difference between Adam’s sin and God’s gracious gift. For the sin of this one man, Adam, brought death to many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of forgiveness to many through this other man, Jesus Christ. | But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many! |
| When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father. | This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. |

| Suppose you sin by violating one of the Lord’s commands. | All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. |
| He was despised and rejected— a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way.
