Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about 'By'
- For we live by faith, not by sight.
- This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty.
- By the word of the Lord the heavens were made,
their starry host by the breath of his mouth. - We who are Jews by birth and not sinful Gentiles know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.
- But I tell you, do not swear an oath at all: either by heaven, for it is God’s throne; or by the earth, for it is his footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King.
- Above all, my brothers and sisters, do not swear—not by heaven or by earth or by anything else. All you need to say is a simple “Yes” or “No.” Otherwise you will be condemned.
- In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
- Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.
- Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
- For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.
- How can a young person stay on the path of purity?
By living according to your word. - So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard?
- For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything.
- Dishonest money dwindles away,
but whoever gathers money little by little makes it grow. - For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
- Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
- Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.
- I revealed myself to those who did not ask for me;
I was found by those who did not seek me.
To a nation that did not call on my name,
I said, ‘Here am I, here am I.’ - Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.
- Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.
- By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.
- Surely he took up our pain
and bore our suffering,
yet we considered him punished by God,
stricken by him, and afflicted. - When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone.
- I will never forget your precepts,
for by them you have preserved my life. - Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, where for forty days he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry.
For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man.May the Lord our God be with us as he was with our ancestors; may he never leave us nor forsake us. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word.Next verse! With image
