- The face of the Lord is against them that do evil,
to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. - Therefore shall ye keep my commandments, and do them: I am the Lord.
- And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.
- And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
- If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth.
- Preserve me, O God:
for in thee do I put my trust. - For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
- Wash you, make you clean;
put away the evil of your doings
from before mine eyes;
cease to do evil. - I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
- For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
- I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
- Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.
- Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil.
- In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust;
let me never be ashamed:
deliver me in thy righteousness. - Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.
- As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
- I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait,
and in his word do I hope. - Excellent speech becometh not a fool:
much less do lying lips a prince. - He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise.
- But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.
- And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.
- Defend the poor and fatherless:
do justice to the afflicted and needy. - And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
- Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
- As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all.
Judge not, that ye be not judged.The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous,
