- Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust consume and where thieves break in and steal; but store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consumes and where thieves do not break in and steal.
- Do not envy the violent
and do not choose any of their ways;
for the perverse are an abomination to the Lord,

- So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us work for the good of all, and especially for those of the family of faith.
- Do not be mismatched with unbelievers. For what partnership is there between righteousness and lawlessness? Or what fellowship is there between light and darkness?
- Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me.
- He has told you, O mortal, what is good;
and what does the Lord require of you
but to do justice, and to love kindness,
and to walk humbly with your God? - Do not fear, for I am with you,
do not be afraid, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my victorious right hand. - Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.
- Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you?
- So let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at harvest time, if we do not give up.
- With my whole heart I seek you;
do not let me stray from your commandments. - For
“Those who desire life
and desire to see good days,
let them keep their tongues from evil
and their lips from speaking deceit;
let them turn away from evil and do good;
let them seek peace and pursue it.” - Thus you shall keep my commandments and observe them: I am the Lord.
- See that none of you repays evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to all.
- And now why do you delay? Get up, be baptized, and have your sins washed away, calling on his name.
