Chinese (traditional)- After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God.
- Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last.
- Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
- Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart. - And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families of their own.
- And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever.
- Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him and he will do this:
He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn,
your vindication like the noonday sun. - Then what if you see the Son of Man ascend to where he was before!
- The Lord watches over the foreigner
and sustains the fatherless and the widow,
but he frustrates the ways of the wicked. - So we fasted and petitioned our God about this, and he answered our prayer.
- May he give you the desire of your heart
and make all your plans succeed. - But he knows the way that I take;
when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold.
My feet have closely followed his steps;
I have kept to his way without turning aside. - He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.
- My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline,
and do not resent his rebuke,
because the Lord disciplines those he loves,
as a father the son he delights in. - Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, where for forty days he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry.
- But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed. - For the Lord takes delight in his people;
he crowns the humble with victory. - Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
his love endures forever. - The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.
- Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”
- I know that my redeemer lives,
and that in the end he will stand on the earth. - Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.”
- Every word of God is flawless;
he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. - Let the wicked forsake their ways
and the unrighteous their thoughts.
Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them,
and to our God, for he will freely pardon. - He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
After Job had prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before.You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.Next verse!With image
