- Whom have I in heaven but thee?
and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. - I made a covenant with mine eyes;
why then should I think upon a maid? - He must increase, but I must decrease.
- Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed;
save me, and I shall be saved:
for thou art my praise. - I have set the Lord always before me:
because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. - And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
- I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart;
I will shew forth all thy marvellous works. - I will extol thee, my God, O king;
and I will bless thy name for ever and ever. - For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul.
- I have taught thee in the way of wisdom;
I have led thee in right paths. - I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people:
and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations. - Then said Jesus unto them, Yet a little while am I with you, and then I go unto him that sent me.
- Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning;
for in thee do I trust:
cause me to know the way wherein I should walk;
for I lift up my soul unto thee. - I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
- Therefore I will look unto the Lord;
I will wait for the God of my salvation:
my God will hear me. - Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
- Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
- Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
- A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
- Because thy lovingkindness is better than life,
my lips shall praise thee.
Thus will I bless thee while I live:
I will lift up my hands in thy name. - I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go:
I will guide thee with mine eye. - And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
- But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
- Preserve me, O God:
for in thee do I put my trust. - Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the Lord.
But he knoweth the way that I take:
when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
My foot hath held his steps,
his way have I kept, and not declined.He is the Rock, his work is perfect:
for all his ways are judgment:
a God of truth and without iniquity,
just and right is he. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.Next verse!With image
