Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about 'Long'
- When I kept silent,
my bones wasted away
through my groaning all day long. - All day long he craves for more,
but the righteous give without sparing. - I will sing to the Lord all my life;
I will sing praise to my God as long as I live. - My mouth is filled with your praise,
declaring your splendor all day long. - Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.
- Guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my Savior,
and my hope is in you all day long. - I love the Lord, for he heard my voice;
he heard my cry for mercy.
Because he turned his ear to me,
I will call on him as long as I live. - I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong— that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith.
- Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation.
- Because your love is better than life,
my lips will glorify you.
I will praise you as long as I live,
and in your name I will lift up my hands. - Lord, you are my God;
I will exalt you and praise your name,
for in perfect faithfulness
you have done wonderful things,
things planned long ago. - Keep his decrees and commands, which I am giving you today, so that it may go well with you and your children after you and that you may live long in the land the Lord your God gives you for all time.
- Walk in obedience to all that the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you will possess.
- I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil—this is the gift of God.
- Go, eat your food with gladness, and drink your wine with a joyful heart, for God has already approved what you do.
- My son, do not forget my teaching,
but keep my commands in your heart,
for they will prolong your life many years
and bring you peace and prosperity. - Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
- Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.
- All my longings lie open before you, Lord;
my sighing is not hidden from you. - Do not say, “Why were the old days better than these?”
For it is not wise to ask such questions. - Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever. - As the deer pants for streams of water,
so my soul pants for you, my God. - For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have.
- On a Sabbath Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues, and a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not straighten up at all. When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, “Woman, you are set free from your infirmity.” Then he put his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God. Indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, the synagogue leader said to the people, “There are six days for work. So come and be healed on those days, not on the Sabbath.” The Lord answered him, “You hypocrites! Doesn’t each of you on the Sabbath untie your ox or donkey from the stall and lead it out to give it water? Then should not this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has kept bound for eighteen long years, be set free on the Sabbath day from what bound her?” When he said this, all his opponents were humiliated, but the people were delighted with all the wonderful things he was doing.
- Humility is the fear of the Lord;
its wages are riches and honor and life.
Listen, my son, accept what I say,
and the years of your life will be many.Better a patient person than a warrior,
one with self-control than one who takes a city.
