Bible Verses about 'Our thoughts'
- For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. - For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts. - Let the wicked forsake his way,
and the unrighteous man his thoughts;
let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him,
and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. - For who knows a person's thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
- Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts!
And see if there be any grievous way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting! - O Lord, you have searched me and known me!
You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from afar. - For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
- When the cares of my heart are many,
your consolations cheer my soul. - For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
- And he said, “What comes out of a person is what defiles him. For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.”
- For the Lord is our judge;
the Lord is our lawgiver;
the Lord is our king;
he will save us. - And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors. - If you turn at my reproof,
behold, I will pour out my spirit to you;
I will make my words known to you. - Commit your work to the Lord,
and your plans will be established. - Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us,
and establish the work of our hands upon us;
yes, establish the work of our hands! - Give us this day our daily bread.
- So we fasted and implored our God for this, and he listened to our entreaty.
- The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers. May he not leave us or forsake us.
- Help us, O God of our salvation,
for the glory of your name;
deliver us, and atone for our sins,
for your name's sake! - But now, O Lord, you are our Father;
we are the clay, and you are our potter;
we are all the work of your hand. - To this he called you through our gospel, so that you may obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
- Blessed be the Lord,
who daily bears us up;
God is our salvation. Selah - Our God is in the heavens;
he does all that he pleases. - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
- Surely he has borne our griefs
and carried our sorrows;
yet we esteemed him stricken,
smitten by God, and afflicted. - God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble. - But he was pierced for our transgressions;
he was crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace,
and with his wounds we are healed. - So teach us to number our days
that we may get a heart of wisdom. - To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.
- Our help is in the name of the Lord,
who made heaven and earth. - For who is God, but the Lord?
And who is a rock, except our God? - For who is God, but the Lord?
And who is a rock, except our God? - Let us test and examine our ways,
and return to the Lord! - So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.
- Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
- He will again have compassion on us;
he will tread our iniquities underfoot.
You will cast all our sins
into the depths of the sea. - Oh come, let us worship and bow down;
let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker! - And the Lord commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the Lord our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as we are this day.
- The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.
- The grass withers, the flower fades,
but the word of our God will stand forever. - Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. - Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.
- And the people said to Joshua, “The Lord our God we will serve, and his voice we will obey.”
- But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- As far as the east is from the west,
so far does he remove our transgressions from us. - It is a snare to say rashly, “It is holy,”
and to reflect only after making vows. - He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.
- You keep him in perfect peace
whose mind is stayed on you,
because he trusts in you. - But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
- By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.
