- The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished.
- And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
- And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. - My times are in thy hand:
deliver me from the hand of mine enemies,
and from them that persecute me. - Learn to do well; seek judgment,
relieve the oppressed,
judge the fatherless,
plead for the widow. - Deliver my soul, O Lord,
from lying lips,
and from a deceitful tongue. - Many are the afflictions of the righteous:
but the Lord delivereth him out of them all. - Make thy face to shine upon thy servant:
save me for thy mercies' sake. - The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants:
and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate. - An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour:
but through knowledge shall the just be delivered. - Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.
- Ye that love the Lord, hate evil:
he preserveth the souls of his saints;
he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked. - The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth,
and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart;
and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. - And even to your old age I am he;
and even to hoar hairs will I carry you:
I have made, and I will bear;
even I will carry, and will deliver you. - He sent his word, and healed them,
and delivered them from their destructions. - My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto thee;
and my soul, which thou hast redeemed. - But I have trusted in thy mercy;
my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.
I will sing unto the Lord,
because he hath dealt bountifully with me. - Because I delivered the poor that cried,
and the fatherless, and him that had none to help him.
The blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon me:
and I caused the widow's heart to sing for joy. - For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
- That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death.
- Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
- Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
- The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
- Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
- Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
