Should (2/4)

It is the will of God that you should lead a life of sanctity. You must refrain from sexual immorality. Each of you must learn to acquire a wife from pure and honorable motives, not to gratify passion like the Gentiles who do not know God.For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God.
Brethren, if anyone is detected committing a transgression, you who are spiritual must set him right in a spirit of gentleness. Meanwhile, you should take care so that you yourselves are not tempted.Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted.
In the same way, husbands should love their wives as they do their own bodies. The man who loves his wife loves himself. In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.
While experiencing temptation, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one.Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one.
What then? Should we sin because we are not under the Law but under grace? Of course not! What then? Are we to sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means!
You shall be holy, for I, the Lord, am holy. I have chosen you from among all people that you shall be mine. You shall be holy to me, for I the Lord am holy and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be mine.
The brother who is in modest circumstances should take pride in being raised up. Likewise, the one who is rich should glory in being brought low, for he will disappear like a flower of the field.Let the lowly brother boast in his exaltation, and the rich in his humiliation, because like a flower of the grass he will pass away.
In the same way, even the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with sighs that cannot be put into words.Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
I also ask that the women should dress themselves modestly and decently in suitable clothing. They should be adorned not with braided hair or with gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good works, as is fitting for women who profess their reverence for God.Likewise also that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire, but with what is proper for women who profess godliness—with good works.
So if I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet.If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet.
I understand that man’s greatest happiness is to be glad and do well throughout his life. And when we eat and drink and find satisfaction in all our labors, this is a gift of God.I perceived that there is nothing better for them than to be joyful and to do good as long as they live; also that everyone should eat and drink and take pleasure in all his toil—this is God's gift to man.
Everything that you do should be done in love.Let all that you do be done in love.
For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may attain eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
Each of us must consider his neighbor’s good for the purpose of building him up.Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up.
When I realized that my foot was slipping, your kindness, O Lord, raised me up.When I thought, “My foot slips,” your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up.
Beloved, since God loved us so much, we should love one another.Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
What then shall we say? Should we persist in sin in order that grace may abound? Of course not! We have died to sin. How can we live in it any longer? What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it?
Remember this, my beloved brethren: everyone should be quick to listen but slow to speak and slow to anger.Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger.
Even if an army encamps against me, my heart will not succumb to fear; even if war breaks out against me, I will not have my trust shaken.Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, yet I will be confident.
By his own choice he gave us birth through the way of truth so that we may be a kind of firstfruits of all his creation.Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
Instruct those who are rich in this world’s goods that they should not be proud, nor should they trust in the uncertainty of riches but rather in God who richly provides us with everything we need for our enjoyment. As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy.
Finally, all of you should be united in spirit, sympathetic, filled with love for one another, compassionate, and humble. Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind.
If someone among you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without finding fault, and it will be given to him.If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.
What is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him? What is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?
Do not seek to adorn yourself externally—by the braiding of your hair and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothing. Rather, let your adornment be of your inner self, the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God.Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear— but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious.

One person may consider one day to be more sacred than another, while another may judge all days to be alike. Let everyone be convinced in his own beliefs. One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind.

Random Bible Verse

Even though the fig tree does not blossom
and there is no fruit on the vines,
even though the olive crop will fail
and the orchards will yield no food,
even though the flock is cut off from the fold
and there is no herd in the stalls,
I will continue to rejoice in the Lord,
and exult in the God of my salvation.
