Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about 'Thou'
- “For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord. - As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts. - You have searched me, Lord,
and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar. - But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.
- For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
- Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.
- A thousand years in your sight
are like a day that has just gone by,
or like a watch in the night. - Give careful thought to the paths for your feet
and be steadfast in all your ways. - Repent at my rebuke!
Then I will pour out my thoughts to you,
I will make known to you my teachings. - You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things.
- Even fools are thought wise if they keep silent,
and discerning if they hold their tongues. - For you, God, tested us;
you refined us like silver. - ‘You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, honor your father and mother,’ and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’
- You are my hiding place;
you will protect me from trouble
and surround me with songs of deliverance. - The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
- What is mankind that you are mindful of them,
human beings that you care for them? - But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.
- You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.
- All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
- Search me, God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
See if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting. - I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
apart from you I have no good thing.” - Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous;
you surround them with your favor as with a shield. - Though an army besiege me,
my heart will not fear;
though war break out against me,
even then I will be confident. - Trust in the Lord and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. - Better is one day in your courts
than a thousand elsewhere;
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
than dwell in the tents of the wicked.
Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.Who is he, this King of glory?
The Lord Almighty—
he is the King of glory.
