Bible Verses about 'Ways'
- “For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord. - Show me your ways, Lord,
teach me your paths. - As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts. - Let us examine our ways and test them,
and let us return to the Lord. - The Lord is righteous in all his ways
and faithful in all he does. - Give careful thought to the paths for your feet
and be steadfast in all your ways. - Blessed are all who fear the Lord,
who walk in obedience to him. - Whoever keeps commandments keeps their life,
but whoever shows contempt for their ways will die. - He is the Rock, his works are perfect,
and all his ways are just.

upright and just is he. - Observe the commands of the Lord your God, walking in obedience to him and revering him.
- Do not envy the violent
or choose any of their ways.

but takes the upright into his confidence. - Whoever walks in integrity walks securely,
but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out. - Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight. - When God raised up his servant, he sent him first to you to bless you by turning each of you from your wicked ways.
- Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God!
How unsearchable his judgments,
and his paths beyond tracing out! - Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the Sovereign Lord. Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and live?
- Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and glorify the King of heaven, because everything he does is right and all his ways are just. And those who walk in pride he is able to humble.
- Who is wise? Let them realize these things.
Who is discerning? Let them understand.
The ways of the Lord are right;
the righteous walk in them,
but the rebellious stumble in them. - If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
- A person may think their own ways are right,
but the Lord weighs the heart. - Do not be like your ancestors, to whom the earlier prophets proclaimed: This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘Turn from your evil ways and your evil practices.’ But they would not listen or pay attention to me, declares the Lord.
- Blessed are those whose ways are blameless,
who walk according to the law of the Lord. - We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check.

and the unrighteous their thoughts.

and to our God, for he will freely pardon. - Good and upright is the Lord;
therefore he instructs sinners in his ways.
He guides the humble in what is right
and teaches them his way. - For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess.
- If you really change your ways and your actions and deal with each other justly, if you do not oppress the foreigner, the fatherless or the widow and do not shed innocent blood in this place, and if you do not follow other gods to your own harm, then I will let you live in this place, in the land I gave your ancestors for ever and ever.

and beyond cure. Who can understand it?

and lead you along straight paths. - Be still before the Lord
and wait patiently for him;
do not fret when people succeed in their ways,
when they carry out their wicked schemes. - And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to observe the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good?
- This is what the Lord says:
“Stand at the crossroads and look;
ask for the ancient paths,
ask where the good way is, and walk in it,
and you will find rest for your souls.

for they are from of old.
Do not remember the sins of my youth
and my rebellious ways;
according to your love remember me,
for you, Lord, are good. - Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.
- Teach me your way, Lord,
that I may rely on your faithfulness;
give me an undivided heart,
that I may fear your name. - But I gave them this command: Obey me, and I will be your God and you will be my people. Walk in obedience to all I command you, that it may go well with you.
- Walk in obedience to all that the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you will possess.
- “If you keep your feet from breaking the Sabbath
and from doing as you please on my holy day,
if you call the Sabbath a delight
and the Lord’s holy day honorable,
and if you honor it by not going your own way
and not doing as you please or speaking idle words,
then you will find your joy in the Lord,
and I will cause you to ride in triumph on the heights of the land
and to feast on the inheritance of your father Jacob.”

I hate pride and arrogance,
evil behavior and perverse speech. - For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.
- Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.
