- Now may the God of peace—
who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus,

and ratified an eternal covenant with his blood—

But you reply, ‘No, that’s not the road we want!’” - Brothers, listen! We are here to proclaim that through this man Jesus there is forgiveness for your sins. Everyone who believes in him is made right in God’s sight—something the law of Moses could never do.

but the Lord determines our steps. - Just as you cannot understand the path of the wind or the mystery of a tiny baby growing in its mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the activity of God, who does all things.
- But the angel said, “Don’t be alarmed. You are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead! Look, this is where they laid his body.”
- May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace.
- All who fear the Lord will hate evil.
Therefore, I hate pride and arrogance,
corruption and perverse speech. - For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with him the believers who have died.
- Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger by the way you treat them. Rather, bring them up with the discipline and instruction that comes from the Lord.
