Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you. | Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all. |
Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. | Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. |
I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people. | The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints. |
But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God. | But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. |
I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love. | That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love. |
My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ. | That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ. |
May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you. | And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you. |
Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. | Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. A person may think their own ways are right, but the Lord weighs the heart. | Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts. |
May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had. | Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus. |
What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? | What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? |
Watch out that you do not lose what we have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully. | Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. |
And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins. | And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. |
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. | Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. |
I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. | These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. |
May God bless us still, so that all the ends of the earth will fear him. | God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him. |
Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. | Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace. | The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace. |
Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete. | Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. |
May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us— yes, establish the work of our hands. | And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it. |
Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise by the standards of this age, you should become “fools” so that you may become wise. | Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. |
