- Even fools who keep silent are considered wise;
when they close their lips, they are deemed intelligent. - Whoever is slow to anger has great understanding,
but one who has a hasty temper exalts folly. - For in much wisdom is much vexation,
and those who increase knowledge increase sorrow. - Happy are those who find wisdom,
and those who get understanding. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge;
fools despise wisdom and instruction. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight. - Know that wisdom is such to your soul;
if you find it, you will find a future,
and your hope will not be cut off. - I have taught you the way of wisdom;
I have led you in the paths of uprightness. - O the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!
- Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise,
but the companion of fools suffers harm. - Get wisdom; get insight: do not forget, nor turn away
from the words of my mouth. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
all those who practice it have a good understanding.
His praise endures forever. - Words spoken by the wise bring them favor,
but the lips of fools consume them. - Some judge one day to be better than another, while others judge all days to be alike. Let all be fully convinced in their own minds.
- I want their hearts to be encouraged and united in love, so that they may have all the riches of assured understanding and have the knowledge of God's mystery, that is, Christ himself.
- My child, if your heart is wise,
my heart too will be glad. - With their mouths the godless would destroy their neighbors,
but by knowledge the righteous are delivered. - The law of the Lord is perfect,
reviving the soul;
the decrees of the Lord are sure,
making wise the simple. - A fool gives full vent to anger,
but the wise quietly holds it back. - A fool's lips bring strife,
and a fool's mouth invites a flogging. - The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice;
he who begets a wise son will be glad in him. - Fools show their anger at once,
but the prudent ignore an insult. - Give heed to my reproof;
I will pour out my thoughts to you;
I will make my words known to you. - Many shall be purified, cleansed, and refined, but the wicked shall continue to act wickedly. None of the wicked shall understand, but those who are wise shall understand.
- A wise child makes a glad father,
but a foolish child is a mother's grief.
A fool despises a parent's instruction,
but the one who heeds admonition is prudent.Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts,
he is the King of glory. Selah Therefore I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities for the sake of Christ; for whenever I am weak, then I am strong.Next verse!With image
