Chinese (traditional)Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning,
for I am trusting you.
Show me where to walk,
for I give myself to you. Peter replied, “Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” Trust in the Lord and do good.
Then you will live safely in the land and prosper. We are witnesses of these things and so is the Holy Spirit, who is given by God to those who obey him. Jesus replied, “All who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them.” Fearing people is a dangerous trap,
but trusting the Lord means safety. For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. Who has done such mighty deeds,
summoning each new generation from the beginning of time?
It is I, the Lord, the First and the Last.
I alone am he. We have happy memories of the godly,
but the name of a wicked person rots away. So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.” It is better to be godly and have little
than to be evil and rich.
For the strength of the wicked will be shattered,
but the Lord takes care of the godly. Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later. Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen. I will show how holy my great name is—the name on which you brought shame among the nations. And when I reveal my holiness through you before their very eyes, says the Sovereign Lord, then the nations will know that I am the Lord. So the Lord must wait for you to come to him
so he can show you his love and compassion.
For the Lord is a faithful God.
Blessed are those who wait for his help. Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. The Lord will work out his plans for my life—
for your faithful love, O Lord, endures forever.
Don’t abandon me, for you made me. May the Lord bless you
and protect you.
May the Lord smile on you
and be gracious to you.
May the Lord show you his favor
and give you his peace. For I hold you by your right hand—
I, the Lord your God.
And I say to you,
‘Don’t be afraid. I am here to help you.’ How much better to get wisdom than gold,
and good judgment than silver! Yes, God will bless us,
and people all over the world will fear him. This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all. Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability. Well then, since God’s grace has set us free from the law, does that mean we can go on sinning? Of course not! For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them. The lips of the godly speak helpful words,
but the mouth of the wicked speaks perverse words. If you refuse to take up your cross and follow me, you are not worthy of being mine. I have chosen to be faithful;
I have determined to live by your regulations. But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin. A troublemaker plants seeds of strife;
gossip separates the best of friends. Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else? Don’t be afraid, for I am with you.
Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you.
I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.Next verse!With image
