Chinese (traditional)You are a hiding place for me;
you preserve me from trouble;
you surround me with shouts of deliverance. Selah He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. Let not the one who eats despise the one who abstains, and let not the one who abstains pass judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed him. Whoever is slow to anger has great understanding,
but he who has a hasty temper exalts folly. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. If you walk in my statutes and observe my commandments and do them, then I will give you your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. Good and upright is the Lord;
therefore he instructs sinners in the way.
He leads the humble in what is right,
and teaches the humble his way. For we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content. Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
whose trust is the Lord.
He is like a tree planted by water,
that sends out its roots by the stream,
and does not fear when heat comes,
for its leaves remain green,
and is not anxious in the year of drought,
for it does not cease to bear fruit. Whoever pursues righteousness and kindness
will find life, righteousness, and honor. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. You shall diligently keep the commandments of the Lord your God, and his testimonies and his statutes, which he has commanded you. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge;
fools despise wisdom and instruction. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. The fear of man lays a snare,
but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe. Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And it shall be a tassel for you to look at and remember all the commandments of the Lord, to do them, not to follow after your own heart and your own eyes, which you are inclined to whore after. For his anger is but for a moment,
and his favor is for a lifetime.
Weeping may tarry for the night,
but joy comes with the morning. Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
and those who love it will eat its fruits. And he declared to you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, that is, the Ten Commandments, and he wrote them on two tablets of stone. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper,
but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy. Therefore you have no excuse, O man, every one of you who judges. For in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, practice the very same things. As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, yet possessing everything. The fear of the Lord is instruction in wisdom,
and humility comes before honor. Let brotherly love continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain. As far as the east is from the west,
so far does he remove our transgressions from us. About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.Next verse!With image
