Chinese (traditional)The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to keep still. Abba, Father, for you all things are possible; remove this cup from me; yet, not what I want, but what you want. I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go;
I will counsel you with my eye upon you. But whenever you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you. You have already been cleansed by the word that I have spoken to you. Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us,
and prosper for us the work of our hands—
O prosper the work of our hands! Rejoice greatly, O daughter Zion!
Shout aloud, O daughter Jerusalem!
Lo, your king comes to you;
triumphant and victorious is he,
humble and riding on a donkey,
on a colt, the foal of a donkey. If any of you sin without knowing it, doing any of the things that by the Lord's commandments ought not to be done, you have incurred guilt, and are subject to punishment. Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
when it is in your power to do it. Have you not known? Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He does not faint or grow weary;
his understanding is unsearchable. I did not shrink from doing anything helpful, proclaiming the message to you and teaching you publicly and from house to house. Happy are those who find wisdom,
and those who get understanding. Is not this the fast that I choose:
to loose the bonds of injustice,
to undo the thongs of the yoke,
to let the oppressed go free,
and to break every yoke? For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever. Amen. Let your eyes look directly forward,
and your gaze be straight before you. Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who has promised is faithful. But those who want to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. Know that wisdom is such to your soul;
if you find it, you will find a future,
and your hope will not be cut off. I appeal to you therefore, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. So we have known and believe the love that God has for us.
God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them. Do not say, “Why were the former days better than these?”
For it is not from wisdom that you ask this. Day by day, as they spent much time together in the temple, they broke bread at home and ate their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having the goodwill of all the people. And day by day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,
and in his word I hope. So we fasted and petitioned our God for this, and he listened to our entreaty. Then Jesus answered them, “My teaching is not mine but his who sent me.” Put away from you crooked speech,
and put devious talk far from you. Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an unexpected hour. Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly; do not claim to be wiser than you are. Make me to know your ways, O Lord;
teach me your paths. God abides in those who confess that Jesus is the Son of God, and they abide in God. As far as the east is from the west,
so far he removes our transgressions from us.
