Chinese (traditional)Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they shall be called sons of God. And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight. Be not wise in your own eyes;
fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.
It will be healing to your flesh
and refreshment to your bones. “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me. You shall walk in all the way that the Lord your God has commanded you, that you may live, and that it may go well with you, and that you may live long in the land that you shall possess. Bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. My mouth is filled with your praise,
and with your glory all the day. Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and spirit, bringing holiness to completion in the fear of God. Fear not, for I am with you;
be not dismayed, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord,
who walks in his ways! We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you;
when you walk through fire you shall not be burned,
and the flame shall not consume you. Behold, how good and pleasant it is
when brothers dwell in unity! “All things are lawful,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful,” but not all things build up. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. My son, do not despise the Lord's discipline
or be weary of his reproof,
for the Lord reproves him whom he loves,
as a father the son in whom he delights. So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. Can a woman forget her nursing child,
that she should have no compassion on the son of her womb?
Even these may forget,
yet I will not forget you.
Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands;
your walls are continually before me. When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears
and delivers them out of all their troubles.
The Lord is near to the brokenhearted
and saves the crushed in spirit. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. The wicked borrows but does not pay back,
but the righteous is generous and gives. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. He will render to each one according to his works. The Lord will keep you from all evil;
he will keep your life.
The Lord will keep
your going out and your coming in
from this time forth and forevermore. For the Lord your God is gracious and merciful and will not turn away his face from you, if you return to him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth. I acknowledged my sin to you,
and I did not cover my iniquity;
I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,”
and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture.
