Chinese (traditional)And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. He who did not withhold his own Son, but gave him up for all of us, will he not with him also give us everything else? A soft answer turns away wrath,
but a harsh word stirs up anger. For the whole law is summed up in a single commandment, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything; the only thing that counts is faith working through love. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised;
his greatness is unsearchable. But to all who received him, who believed in his name, he gave power to become children of God. And this is the boldness we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. Train children in the right way,
and when old, they will not stray. Let us therefore no longer pass judgment on one another, but resolve instead never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of another. Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will hardship, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? May he grant you your heart's desire,
and fulfill all your plans. No one after lighting a lamp hides it under a jar, or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a lampstand, so that those who enter may see the light. I pray that, according to the riches of his glory, he may grant that you may be strengthened in your inner being with power through his Spirit, and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, as you are being rooted and grounded in love. For he satisfies the thirsty,
and the hungry he fills with good things. The good person out of the good treasure of the heart produces good, and the evil person out of evil treasure produces evil; for it is out of the abundance of the heart that the mouth speaks. Therefore confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective. Be still, and know that I am God!
I am exalted among the nations,
I am exalted in the earth. As God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. In reply he said to them, “Whoever has two coats must share with anyone who has none; and whoever has food must do likewise.” The fear of the Lord is instruction in wisdom,
and humility goes before honor. Because if you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. All who obey his commandments abide in him, and he abides in them. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit that he has given us. For his anger is but for a moment;
his favor is for a lifetime.
Weeping may linger for the night,
but joy comes with the morning. Be angry but do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and do not make room for the devil. For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope. For who is God, but the Lord?
And who is a rock, except our God? If you love me, you will keep my commandments. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ has forgiven you. Just as you do not know how the breath comes to the bones in the mother's womb, so you do not know the work of God, who makes everything. And the Lord will become king over all the earth; on that day the Lord will be one and his name one. Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for you reap whatever you sow. Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.Next verse!With image
