Chinese (traditional)But you, O Lord, reign forever;
your throne endures to all generations. He has told you, O mortal, what is good;
and what does the Lord require of you
but to do justice, and to love kindness,
and to walk humbly with your God? O the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways! By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart;
I will tell of all your wonderful deeds. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. And having been made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him. Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain,
but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God, and keep his commandments; for that is the whole duty of everyone. But those who do what is true come to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that their deeds have been done in God. But you, O Lord, are a shield around me,
my glory, and the one who lifts up my head. If the world hates you, be aware that it hated me before it hated you. For what will it profit them if they gain the whole world but forfeit their life? Or what will they give in return for their life? A faithful witness does not lie,
but a false witness breathes out lies. And whoever does not take up the cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Do not love the world or the things in the world. The love of the Father is not in those who love the world. And steadfast love belongs to you, O Lord.
For you repay to all
according to their work. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Who can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them? says the Lord. Do I not fill heaven and earth? says the Lord. Do not seek your own advantage, but that of the other. Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. He will not let your foot be moved;
he who keeps you will not slumber. For Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes. He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that, free from sins, we might live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed. Because sentence against an evil deed is not executed speedily, the human heart is fully set to do evil. Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for words. For this slight momentary affliction is preparing us for an eternal weight of glory beyond all measure. No one who conceals transgressions will prosper,
but one who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy. Be on your guard, so that you do not lose what we have worked for, but may receive a full reward. There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear; for fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not reached perfection in love. All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.
