Thou, O Lord, remainest for ever;
thy throne from generation to generation. He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good;
and what doth the Lord require of thee,
but to do justly, and to love mercy,
and to walk humbly with thy God? O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart;
I will shew forth all thy marvellous works. Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him. Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain:
but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised. Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me;
my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? A faithful witness will not lie:
but a false witness will utter lies. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy:
for thou renderest to every man
according to his work. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord. Let no man seek his own, but every man another's wealth. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved:
he that keepeth thee will not slumber. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil. Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. He that covereth his sins shall not prosper:
but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.Next verse!With image
