- Owe nothing to anyone—except for your obligation to love one another. If you love your neighbor, you will fulfill the requirements of God’s law.
- See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him.
- And may the Lord make your love for one another and for all people grow and overflow, just as our love for you overflows.
- But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.

will find life, righteousness, and honor. - Hatred stirs up quarrels,
but love makes up for all offenses. - And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- The faithful love of the Lord never ends!
His mercies never cease.
Great is his faithfulness;
his mercies begin afresh each morning. - And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.
- The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.
- May God give you more and more mercy, peace, and love.
- Don’t be concerned for your own good but for the good of others.
- It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
- I love the Lord because he hears my voice
and my prayer for mercy.
Because he bends down to listen,
I will pray as long as I have breath! - Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church.
- If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
- But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!
- For the Scriptures say,
“If you want to enjoy life
and see many happy days,
keep your tongue from speaking evil
and your lips from telling lies.
Turn away from evil and do good.
Search for peace, and work to maintain it.” - For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.
- Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.
- Love does no wrong to others, so love fulfills the requirements of God’s law.
- But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you!
- For his anger lasts only a moment,
but his favor lasts a lifetime!
Weeping may last through the night,
but joy comes with the morning. - Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?
- This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.
