Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about Patience
- He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding:
but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly. - Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil.
- Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer.
- With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love.
- But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
- And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
- He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty;
and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city. - Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him:
fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way,
because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. - Wait on the Lord: be of good courage,
and he shall strengthen thine heart:
wait, I say, on the Lord. - The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
- The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
- Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering.
- Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus.
- For his anger endureth but a moment;
in his favour is life:
weeping may endure for a night,
but joy cometh in the morning. - My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord;
in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up. - And therefore will the Lord wait,
that he may be gracious unto you,
and therefore will he be exalted,
that he may have mercy upon you:
for the Lord is a God of judgment:
blessed are all they that wait for him. - The Lord is merciful and gracious,
slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. - But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
- Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.
- But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
- Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.
- Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
- Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
- And rend your heart,
and not your garments,
and turn unto the Lord your God:
for he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, and of great kindness,
and repenteth him of the evil. - The hope of the righteous shall be gladness:
but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.
For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love. If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.Next verse!With image
