- “No weapon that is formed against you will prevail;
and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment.
This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants,
and their righteousness is of me,” says Yahweh. - Many are the afflictions of the righteous,
but Yahweh delivers him out of them all. - Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners. Purify your hearts, you double-minded.
- Open your mouth, judge righteously,
and serve justice to the poor and needy. - Confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective.
- But let justice roll on like rivers,
and righteousness like a mighty stream. - Cast your burden on Yahweh and he will sustain you.
He will never allow the righteous to be moved. - Learn to do well.
Seek justice.
Relieve the oppressed.
Defend the fatherless.
Plead for the widow. - For in it is revealed God’s righteousness from faith to faith. As it is written, “But the righteous shall live by faith.”
- Then you will understand righteousness and justice,
equity and every good path. - Therefore you are without excuse, O man, whoever you are who judge. For in that which you judge another, you condemn yourself. For you who judge practice the same things.
- Search me, God, and know my heart.
Try me, and know my thoughts.
See if there is any wicked way in me,
and lead me in the everlasting way. - Blessed are those who have been persecuted for righteousness’ sake,
for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven. - Righteousness exalts a nation,
but sin is a disgrace to any people. - For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
and his ears open to their prayer;
but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. - He has shown you, O man, what is good.
What does Yahweh require of you, but to act justly,
to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God? - Better is a little with righteousness,
than great revenues with injustice. - For Christ is the fulfillment of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
- All chastening seems for the present to be not joyous but grievous; yet afterward it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
- Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship do righteousness and iniquity have? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness?
- With his mouth the godless man destroys his neighbor,
but the righteous will be delivered through knowledge. - For Yahweh is our judge.
Yahweh is our lawgiver.
Yahweh is our king.
He will save us. - He loves righteousness and justice.
The earth is full of the loving kindness of Yahweh. - But now apart from the law, a righteousness of God has been revealed, being testified by the law and the prophets; even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ to all and on all those who believe. For there is no distinction.
- Better is a little that the righteous has,
than the abundance of many wicked.
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken,
but Yahweh upholds the righteous.
