  • And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness.
  • For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised.
  • For if you truly amend your ways and your deeds, if you truly execute justice one with another, if you do not oppress the sojourner, the fatherless, or the widow, or shed innocent blood in this place, and if you do not go after other gods to your own harm, then I will let you dwell in this place, in the land that I gave of old to your fathers forever.
  • Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.
  • He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.

  • And every day, in the temple and from house to house, they did not cease teaching and preaching that the Christ is Jesus.

  • And they stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him, and twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on his head and put a reed in his right hand. And kneeling before him, they mocked him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!”
  • For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh.
  • But as he considered these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.”
  • Go, gather all the Jews to be found in Susa, and hold a fast on my behalf, and do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my young women will also fast as you do. Then I will go to the king, though it is against the law, and if I perish, I perish.
  • Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.
  • For we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content.
  • So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, for whoever has entered God's rest has also rested from his works as God did from his.
  • I stretch out my hands to you;
    my soul thirsts for you like a parched land. Selah
  • Blessed be the Lord,
    who daily bears us up;
    God is our salvation. Selah
  • Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
    for they shall be satisfied.

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?”
