| Those who place their hope in the Lord will regain their strength. They will soar as with eagles’ wings, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not become faint. | Yet those who wait for the Lord Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary. |
| Let us never grow weary in doing what is right, for if we do not give up, we will reap our harvest in due time. | Let’s not become discouraged in doing good, for in due time we will reap, if we do not become weary. |
| You shall not oppress the widow or the orphan. If you mistreat them and they cry out to me for help, I will surely hear their cry, and my fury will burn and I will put you to death by the sword. | Those of you who seek to be justified by the Law have cut yourselves off from Christ and have fallen away from grace. | You have been severed from Christ, you who are seeking to be justified by the Law; you have fallen from grace. |

| Rather, professing truth and love, we will in all things grow into him who is the head, Christ. | But speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, that is, Christ. |
| Rather, I discipline my body and bring it under control, for fear that after preaching to others I myself may be disqualified. | But I strictly discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified. |
| By his own choice he gave us birth through the way of truth so that we may be a kind of firstfruits of all his creation. | In the exercise of His will He gave us birth by the word of truth, so that we would be a kind of first fruits among His creatures. |
| For no one can be regarded as justified in the sight of God by keeping the Law. The Law brings only the consciousness of sin. | Because by the works of the Law none of mankind will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes knowledge of sin. |
| And now, brethren, farewell. Mend your ways. Encourage one another. Be of one mind and live in peace. | Do not lie to one another, since you have stripped off the old self with its practices and have put on the new self that is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator. | Do not lie to one another, since you stripped off the old self with its evil practices, and have put on the new self, which is being renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who created it. |
| If you obey the command that I give you today, to love the Lord, your God, and to walk in his ways, and to observe his commandments, statutes, and decrees, then you will live and multiply, and the Lord, your God, will bless you in the land that you are entering to possess. | In that I am commanding you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, so that you may live and become numerous, and that the Lord your God may bless you in the land where you are entering to take possession of it. |
| Repent and renounce all your transgressions. Otherwise your iniquity will prove to be your downfall. | Repent and turn away from all your offenses, so that wrongdoing does not become a stumbling block to you. |
| Nor should you present any part of your body as an instrument for wickedness leading to sin. Rather, present yourselves to God as having been raised from death to life and the parts of your body to God as instruments for righteousness. | And do not go on presenting the parts of your body to sin as instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves to God as those who are alive from the dead, and your body’s parts as instruments of righteousness for God. |
