- And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
- Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
- Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
- A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly:
and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. - It is a faithful saying:
For if we be dead with him,
we shall also live with him. - That I may come unto you with joy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed.
- Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
- No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.
- Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
- Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.
- And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
- And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us.
- For in much wisdom is much grief:
and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow. - Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
- Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
- Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
- If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
- House and riches are the inheritance of fathers:
and a prudent wife is from the Lord. - Hast thou not known?
hast thou not heard,
that the everlasting God, the Lord,
the Creator of the ends of the earth,
fainteth not, neither is weary?
there is no searching of his understanding. - Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
- He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
- A man's heart deviseth his way:
but the Lord directeth his steps. - Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
- For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
- There are many devices in a man's heart;
nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand.
Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us.
