- So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new!
- Keep awake therefore, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming.
- You may say to yourself, “How can we recognize a word that the Lord has not spoken?” If a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord but the thing does not take place or prove true, it is a word that the Lord has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously; do not be frightened by it.
- I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation as you come to know him.
- Let us therefore approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
- For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, and you have come to fullness in him, who is the head of every ruler and authority.
- When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who comes from the Father, he will testify on my behalf.
- But for that very reason I received mercy, so that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display the utmost patience, making me an example to those who would come to believe in him for eternal life.
- The hope of the righteous ends in gladness,
but the expectation of the wicked comes to nothing. - So we have known and believe the love that God has for us.
God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them. - For we have become partners of Christ, if only we hold our first confidence firm to the end.
- I will make them and the region around my hill a blessing; and I will send down the showers in their season; they shall be showers of blessing.
- Protect me, O God, for in you I take refuge.
- A fool's lips bring strife,
and a fool's mouth invites a flogging. - My soul yearns for you in the night,
my spirit within me earnestly seeks you.
For when your judgments are in the earth,
the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness. - No one after lighting a lamp hides it under a jar, or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a lampstand, so that those who enter may see the light.
