- For the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true.

and is not anxious in the year of drought,
for it does not cease to bear fruit. - And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.
- Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
and those who love it will eat its fruits. - Though the fig tree should not blossom,
nor fruit be on the vines,
the produce of the olive fail
and the fields yield no food,
the flock be cut off from the fold
and there be no herd in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the Lord;
I will take joy in the God of my salvation. - Take with you words
and return to the Lord;
say to him,
“Take away all iniquity;
accept what is good,
and we will pay with bulls
the vows of our lips.” - As for what was sown among thorns, this is the one who hears the word, but the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and it proves unfruitful.
- But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.
- Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of us in knowing good and evil. Now, lest he reach out his hand and take also of the tree of life and eat, and live forever—” therefore the Lord God sent him out from the garden of Eden to work the ground from which he was taken.
- So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth;
it shall not return to me empty,
but it shall accomplish that which I purpose,
and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it. - As he came from his mother's womb he shall go again, naked as he came, and shall take nothing for his toil that he may carry away in his hand.
- The vine dries up;
the fig tree languishes.
Pomegranate, palm, and apple,
all the trees of the field are dried up,
and gladness dries up
from the children of man. - Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts,
he is the King of glory! Selah - And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
- The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight. - Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
- For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
- That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him.
- The tongue of the righteous is choice silver;
the heart of the wicked is of little worth. - For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
- The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
- The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
- Guarding the paths of justice
and watching over the way of his saints. - Eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
- The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.
- And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
- The memory of the righteous is a blessing,
but the name of the wicked will rot. - I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living! - Therefore let us leave the elementary doctrine of Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, and of instruction about washings, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.
- Since you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God.
- Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us,
and establish the work of our hands upon us;
yes, establish the work of our hands! - The hope of the righteous brings joy,
but the expectation of the wicked will perish. - Grandchildren are the crown of the aged,
and the glory of children is their fathers. - For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world.
- The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge;
fools despise wisdom and instruction. - For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God.
- Blessed is the man
who walks not in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stands in the way of sinners,
nor sits in the seat of scoffers. - The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable,
but the mouth of the wicked, what is perverse. - Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
