- Blessed be the Lord,
who daily bears us up;
God is our salvation. Selah - For in it the righteousness of God is revealed through faith for faith; as it is written, “The one who is righteous will live by faith.”
- The sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. - And saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near; repent, and believe in the good news.”
- He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.”
- Every word of God proves true;
he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. - Indeed, the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing until it divides soul from spirit, joints from marrow; it is able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
- The Lord, your God, is in your midst,
a warrior who gives victory;
he will rejoice over you with gladness,
he will renew you in his love;
he will exult over you with loud singing. - Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who maintains covenant loyalty with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations.
- No testing has overtaken you that is not common to everyone. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tested beyond your strength, but with the testing he will also provide the way out so that you may be able to endure it.
- Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be handed over to sinners, and be crucified, and on the third day rise again.
- To this day I have had help from God, and so I stand here, testifying to both small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would take place: that the Messiah must suffer, and that, by being the first to rise from the dead, he would proclaim light both to our people and to the Gentiles.
- If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy that person. For God's temple is holy, and you are that temple.
- On God rests my deliverance and my honor;
my mighty rock, my refuge is in God. - The spirit of the Lord God is upon me,
because the Lord has anointed me;
he has sent me to bring good news to the oppressed,
to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives,
and release to the prisoners. - For who is God except the Lord?
And who is a rock besides our God? - For who is God, but the Lord?
And who is a rock, except our God? - God, the Lord, is my strength;
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
and makes me tread upon the heights. - No one, when tempted, should say, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil and he himself tempts no one.
- All this took place to fulfill what had been spoken by the Lord through the prophet:
“Look, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son,
and they shall name him Emmanuel,”
which means, “God is with us.” - Keep his statutes and his commandments, which I am commanding you today for your own well-being and that of your descendants after you, so that you may long remain in the land that the Lord your God is giving you for all time.
- For nothing will be impossible with God.
- Cure the sick who are there, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’
- So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new!
- The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God, and keep his commandments; for that is the whole duty of everyone.
