Chinese (traditional)- And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
- For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.
- Envy thou not the oppressor,
and choose none of his ways.
For the froward is abomination to the Lord:
but his secret is with the righteous. - Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord;
and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance. - Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord,
that delighteth greatly in his commandments. - Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them.
- And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.
- If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.
- A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
- Ye shall diligently keep the commandments of the Lord your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath commanded thee.
- For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
- Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
- And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
- But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
- Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.
- The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.
- That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love.
- A fool uttereth all his mind:
but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards. - For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
- But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
- God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
- By the word of the Lord were the heavens made;
and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. - So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
- And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.
- It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed,
because his compassions fail not.
They are new every morning:
great is thy faithfulness.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.Next verse!With image
