- The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life.
I will advise you and watch over you.” - He reveals deep and mysterious things
and knows what lies hidden in darkness,
though he is surrounded by light. - Oh, the joys of those who do not
follow the advice of the wicked,
or stand around with sinners,
or join in with mockers. - The church then had peace throughout Judea, Galilee, and Samaria, and it became stronger as the believers lived in the fear of the Lord. And with the encouragement of the Holy Spirit, it also grew in numbers.
- Jesus told them, “This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent.”
- And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.

Let those with discernment listen carefully.
The paths of the Lord are true and right,
and righteous people live by walking in them.
But in those paths sinners stumble and fall. - “The time promised by God has come at last!” he announced. “The Kingdom of God is near! Repent of your sins and believe the Good News!”
- My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
- In the night I search for you;
in the morning I earnestly seek you.
For only when you come to judge the earth
will people learn what is right. - Anyone who speaks against the Son of Man can be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven, either in this world or in the world to come.

- For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world.
- Paul said, “John’s baptism called for repentance from sin. But John himself told the people to believe in the one who would come later, meaning Jesus.”
- I could have no greater joy than to hear that my children are following the truth.
- Lord, we show our trust in you by obeying your laws;
our heart’s desire is to glorify your name. - Be still, and know that I am God!
I will be honored by every nation.
I will be honored throughout the world. - Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor.
- They told you that in the last times there would be scoffers whose purpose in life is to satisfy their ungodly desires. These people are the ones who are creating divisions among you. They follow their natural instincts because they do not have God’s Spirit in them.
- But you, dear friends, must build each other up in your most holy faith, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit, and await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will bring you eternal life. In this way, you will keep yourselves safe in God’s love.
