  • This is the message you have heard from the beginning: We should love one another.
  • Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God.
  • Owe nothing to anyone—except for your obligation to love one another. If you love your neighbor, you will fulfill the requirements of God’s law.

  • Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.
  • Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins.
  • Where is another God like you,
    who pardons the guilt of the remnant,
    overlooking the sins of his special people?
    You will not stay angry with your people forever,
    because you delight in showing unfailing love.
  • Finally, all of you should be of one mind. Sympathize with each other. Love each other as brothers and sisters. Be tenderhearted, and keep a humble attitude.
  • Live in harmony with each other. Don’t be too proud to enjoy the company of ordinary people. And don’t think you know it all!

    so a friend sharpens a friend.
  • May God, who gives this patience and encouragement, help you live in complete harmony with each other, as is fitting for followers of Christ Jesus.
