| Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. | Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. |
| But the one who endures to the end will be saved. | But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. |
| Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other. | Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. |
| In the same way, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels when even one sinner repents. | Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth. |
| So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing. | Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do. |

| Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. | And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. |
| I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take away your crown. | Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. |
| For by that one offering he forever made perfect those who are being made holy. | For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. |
| There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. | Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. |
| But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one. | But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil. |
| Finally, all of you should be of one mind. Sympathize with each other. Love each other as brothers and sisters. Be tenderhearted, and keep a humble attitude. | Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous. |
| But you, O Lord, are a shield around me; you are my glory, the one who holds my head high. | But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. |
| Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ. | Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. |
| This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you. | This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. |
| For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” | For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. |
| I’m not asking you to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from the evil one. | I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. |
| Don’t be concerned for your own good but for the good of others. | Let no man seek his own, but every man another's wealth. |
| God alone, who gave the law, is the Judge. He alone has the power to save or to destroy. So what right do you have to judge your neighbor? | There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another? |
| Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. | Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. |
| And don’t let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one. | And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. |
| But there is a great difference between Adam’s sin and God’s gracious gift. For the sin of this one man, Adam, brought death to many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of forgiveness to many through this other man, Jesus Christ. | But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. |
