- But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to make this freewill offering? For all things come from you, and of your own have we given you.
- So God created humankind in his image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them. - If you sow to your own flesh, you will reap corruption from the flesh; but if you sow to the Spirit, you will reap eternal life from the Spirit.

- Do not wear yourself out to get rich;
be wise enough to desist. - You are from your father the devil, and you choose to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks according to his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
- They shall be mine, says the Lord of hosts, my special possession on the day when I act, and I will spare them as parents spare their children who serve them.
- “Ananias,” Peter asked, “why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back part of the proceeds of the land? While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? - Words spoken by the wise bring them favor,
but the lips of fools consume them. - Wives, be subject to your husbands as you are to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife just as Christ is the head of the church, the body of which he is the Savior.
- For if you truly amend your ways and your doings, if you truly act justly one with another, if you do not oppress the alien, the orphan, and the widow, or shed innocent blood in this place, and if you do not go after other gods to your own hurt, then I will dwell with you in this place, in the land that I gave of old to your ancestors forever and ever.
- And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families.
- Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly; do not claim to be wiser than you are.
- For what human being knows what is truly human except the human spirit that is within? So also no one comprehends what is truly God's except the Spirit of God.
- So now, O Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you? Only to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the commandments of the Lord your God and his decrees that I am commanding you today, for your own well-being.
- For what will it profit them to gain the whole world and forfeit their life?
- The wealth of the rich is their strong city;
in their imagination it is like a high wall. - Happy is the nation whose God is the Lord,
the people whom he has chosen as his heritage. - Keep his statutes and his commandments, which I am commanding you today for your own well-being and that of your descendants after you, so that you may long remain in the land that the Lord your God is giving you for all time.
